Electrical Maintenance Company (E.M.C.) was founded in 1993 to serve the increasingly high tech electrical systems powering industrial and commercial customers in West Texas, Southern Mexico United States area. Serving customers as diverse as United Parcel Service, Casa Ford, E.W.D., General Cinema Theaters, Federal Express, Walgreen’s, and many others. E.M.C. has established itself as a leader in customer satisfaction and electrical service.
Also large projects at the area military bases have included installation, maintenance, wiring and repair of generators, frequency converter and construction jobs at Fort Bliss. Construction & remodel projects at the Veterans Administration building, construction and testing projects at White Sands Missile Range.
E.M.C. owner and master electrician Hugo Arellano is an El Paso native involved in the electrical trade since 1975. Hugo attended Ysleta Vocational High School Electrical Trades for three years graduating in 1977. Worked for Royal Electric immediately after graduating from Electrical Trades School. Hugo earned his Journeyman Electrician license in May 1979 and worked at Royal Electric until May 1983. After attending teacher certification courses from Texas A&M University he earned his Texas State Teaching Certificate, and began teaching at Ysleta Vocational High School where he taught high school students in schools all over the Ysleta School District. Hugo also taught adult students in continuing adult education night classes in addition to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union apprenticeship classes. Hugo taught at Ysleta Vocational High School (YVHS) until December 1986 when he earned his Master Electrician license. He then joined Kings Electric as supervisor until starting E.M.C in October 1993.
